Giving
to Coulee Christian School:
Our Giving Philosophy
Some
of the goals of stewardship at Coulee
Christian School are to build
relationships, establish trust with
donors and perspective donors, and gain
widespread donor support in fulfilling
our mission. We are encouraging
cheerful giving in the spirit of the
following Bible verses:
Each
one must do just as he has purposed in
his heart, not grudgingly or under
compulsion, for God loves a cheerful
giver. - 2 Corinthians 9:7 Everyone
whose heart stirred him and everyone
whose spirit moved him came and
brought the Lord's contributions for
the work of the tent of meeting and
for all its service and for the holy
garments. - Exodus 35:21
We
are promoting Biblical stewardship - or,
as author Randy Alcorn calls them, The
Treasure Principles. We want
Coulee Christian School donors to
experience the "joy of
giving." Five of the
principles of giving are:
-
God
owns everything; I'm His money
manager.
-
My
heart always goes where I put God's
money.
-
Heaven,
not earth, is my home.
-
Giving
is the only antidote to materialism.
-
God
prospers me not to raise my standard
of living, but to raise my standard
of giving.
We
will raise financial support for Coulee
Christian School while conducting the
affairs of the school according to God's
will and in a way that brings God the
most glory.
Lord,
You will establish peace for us,
For You have also done all our works
in us. - Isaiah 26:12
We
must proceed in God's timing to reap His
greatest benefits. We are faithful
in our belief that God's provision will
be perfect for our school. Our
theme for stewardship is 1 Chronicles
28:20.
Be
strong and courageous and get to
work. Don't be frightened by the
size of the task, for the Lord my God
is with you; He will not forsake
you. He will see to it that
everything is finished correctly. - 1
Chronicles 28:20
