Musical Arts Courses
High
school students will focus on music as a
ministry tool. They will learn
that this tool is to be used in
ministering - first, to the Lord, and
then to others in varying settings.
Students
are required to complete one (1) credit
in Musical Arts, Theater
Arts, or Visual
Arts.
Choir
Length:
Semester
Grade: 9-12
Prerequisites: None
Credit: 0.5
Students
will be exposed to a variety of
Christian contemporary and classical
music. Students will begin to
learn the mechanics of music, such as
sight reading, rhythms, and note
value. Students may minister in
area churches, youth organizations, and
more as the Lord opens doors to
encourage them to use their gifts in the
fine arts to God's glory.
Depending
on schedule availability, this course
may be offered concurrent with Human
Videos (a Theater
Arts course). In this
situation, 0.25 credit would be earned
for Choir and 0.25 credit would be
earned for Human Videos.
