Bible Courses
The
goal of the Bible courses is to
challenge the students in their daily
walk with the Lord. The objective
of the classes is to formulate a better
understanding of the Lord Jesus Christ
by memorizing God's Word, understanding
God's work, and applying God's Word
through active involvement in church and
community activities.
Students
are required to complete 4 credits
in Bible for graduation (or 1 credit per
year enrolled at Coulee Christian
School). The courses offered
include:
God's
Unfolding Plan
Course
Length: Full Year
Grade: 9-10, Year 1
Prerequisites: None
Credit: 1.0
The
Old Testament is the primary text for
this course, which is a study of God's
relating to His people in ancient times
- and how He continues to relate to His
people today. This course is a
survey course of the Old Testament with
practical application and relevance to
today. Students study Old
Testament writings: the
Pentateuch, Histories, Poetry and
Wisdom, and Prophets. The course
includes extensive Scripture referencing
and Scripture memory.

Hope
of the World
Course
Length: Full Year
Grade: 9-10, Year 2
Prerequisites: None
Credit: 1.0
The
New Testament is the primary text for
this course. This course is a
survey course covering the life of
Christ and the growth of the early
church and will emphasize the redemption
and the coming of God's kingdom.
Students will study the Gospels, Acts,
Epistles, and Apocalypse. The
course includes extensive Scripture
referencing and Scripture memory.

Timeless
Truth
Course
Length: Full Year
Grade: 11-12, Year 1
Prerequisites: Two years of 9-10
Bible

This
Apologetics course walks students
through the answer to important
questions like:
This
course will be based on the realization
that what you believe about truth and
what you rely on for truth are crucial
issues that will influence both your
thinking and the decisions that you make
in life.

Mastering
Bible Study Skills / Worldviews
Course
Length: Full Year
Grade: 11-12, Year 2
Prerequisites: Two years of 9-10
Bible
Credit: 1.0
This
course will equip students to study the
Bible for themselves. It
introduces the three main steps of
interactive Bible study:
observation, interpretation, and
application. The main text for the
course is the Bible; the student
workbook coaches the student on Bible
study skills. The second half of
the course prepares students to be
self-feeding Christians. It also
allows them to give both an internal and
external defense of the faith in a
culture of relativism, individualism,
and pluralism.
